Tôl Däthûm is the second planet of the Bäsëkûn Rälkë planetary system, a stable gas giant with a massive solid core, marking a pronounced transition between the scorching inner system and its more habitable regions. Its atmosphere is very dense and mostly cold, with distinct banded currents, and hides deep, high-pressure gas layers wrapped around the planet’s core. There is no surface in the classical sense, only the upper atmospheric layers are accessible, ruled by low temperatures and powerful atmospheric storms, while the pressure grows to extremes further below.
Two cold rocky moons orbit Tôl Däthûm, together forming a unique configuration. Tôl Fâns has no atmosphere, its surface heavily eroded by frost. Tôl Dûrs is almost its twin, similar in size and composition. Both moons share a single orbit and sit exactly opposite one another, forming a long-term stable antipodal configuration, an astronomically rare phenomenon and one of the most fascinating sights in the entire Bäsëkûn Rälkë system.
Tôl Däthûm is not a habitable world, yet it plays an important role in the system’s dynamics. Gravitationally, it influences the stability of the Zûgdön belt and helps shape the orbits of its neighbouring planets. Seen from Tôl Bôviras, it long stood among the sky’s most closely watched objects, used to confirm the accuracy of Lûvian astronomical calculations.
